On the farm with Dave.

All the pictures you have seen were taken by Dave on his phone, while farming our fields.
Dave loves what he does. He has worked on a farm all of his life.
Years ago my brother was serving a foreign mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  We wanted to go pick him up as a family, but with 8 children and their spouses there was no way, due to the cost.  Our dad, Dave, came up with a plan, he would buy the equipment to clean and package his wheat, then we would each be responsible to sell enough wheat to pay for the trip.  After a lot of hard work we sold enough wheat to pay for our whole family to go.  Years later, we are still selling wheat all over Utah and surrounding states.  We have sold wheat on KSL and other websites, but our best advertising comes from our satisfied customers telling their friends, family and neighbors.  We are  working through the challenges of selling and shipping to different parts of the country and we are trying our very hardest to get it there and still make it as affordable as possible for our customers.  We are exploring different packaging and methods of shipping in order to reach out to more people.  The pictures shown here and on our website were taken on Dave's smart phone, so there is no editing or filtering.  We live in a beautiful part of the country. We have been blessed beyond measure.
Dave took this while my brothers were preparing the fields by our house.
This was taken just before harvest. When you buy from us we guaranty you are buying the most fresh wheat available.  Every year Dave sells all his remaining wheat  to a local mill and cleans out his silos.  He then fills them back up with this years wheat.  Check us out at www.davesfarms.com

 Whole Wheat Bread Recipe

9 Rounded Cups fresh ground hard white Wheat
2 Tbls Salt
1/2 Cups Powdered milk (not instant)

Put above ingredients in Bosch and mix well.

ADD:
1/2 Cups Canola oil
1/2 Cups honey or sugar
2 Tbls Lecithin
3 Eggs
5 Cups of very hot water

Turn mixer on and as soon as dry ingredints are moistened add 2 1/2 rounded Tbls of instant dry yeast while mixer is running.  You may need to add up to 3 Cups white flour while it is mixing if the dough doesn't begin to clean the sides of the bowl. Don't get too stiff.
Mix for 10 minutes on 3 speed.
Take the dough hook out and cover the dough in the bowl; let set until dough rise to the top of lid.

Pit out on floured surface and divide into 6 loaves. Form into loaves and put into large non stick pans, you will have to put shorting or oil on loaves.

Let raise until light. Bake in 350 oven for 35 minutes (ovens vary)
